SAGE is the Starker Arts Garden for Education, located in the Starker City Park in Corvallis, Oregon. Community volunteers are the heart of the garden and help farm a one-acre plot of city land. The food we grow together is donated to local food banks and soup kitchens, providing fresh, healthy fruits and vegetables to families in our community who need them most. SAGE grows over 30 varieties of fruits and veggies and works with over 300 community volunteers each year! In 2010 the garden supplied 8,059 pounds of organically grown produce to agencies all over Corvallis.
In addition to growing food for the food banks, SAGE also offers sustainable agriculture education to the Benton County residents. We offer a wide variety of programs during the growing season, and hope you will get involved with one!
