Summer Food Adventures are week-long learning adventures for kids ages 5-11 at our Starker Arts Garden for Education. SAGE is a place for kids to grow and play.  Each Food Adventure is a unique experience that explores food, gardening and cooking.  All Food Adventures at SAGE include active games, hands-on learning,  guided exploration, and art.

Camp Pizza Pie (Ages 5-11) July 22-26

From dirt to delicious, explore some of our favorite treats from the ground up! Spend the week at SAGE making sweet and savory pizzas in our cobb oven.  Grind wheat, turn milk into cheese, make sauce from tomatoes and more! Let’s eat! **$25 field trip fee   

Buzz about Bees (Ages 8-11) July 29-August 2bee camp SAGE Summer Food Adventure Camps

Garden life depends on these busy, buzzing pollinators. Suit up and explore bee hives, build a bee box, harvest honey, and make beeswax candles. This is our most popular camp–sign up early to secure a spot! **$25 field trip fee

Camp Pricing & Registration Information

Full Week:  $160
Pay by the Day:  $34 per day
Camps are 9am-2pm for ages 5-8 or 9am-3pm for ages 8-11. 
Pre-arranged after-care available upon request: $6/hour

Family Mornings in the Garden

Come out to SAGE on Tuesday mornings to spend time in the garden with your family! Every Tuesday from July to August we will run family-oriented garden art projects that are appropriate for all ages. Each week will feature a new activity. Paint a mural! Do a garden weaving! Put another layer on our cob oven! After working on the project, finish your morning with a snack made fresh from the garden.

The Details:

o    Every Tuesday morning between July 10th and August 28th from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
o    No pre-registration is required– just show up!
o    Cost: $10/family
o    All ages are welcome.
o    Be prepared to get messy!
o    A snack from the garden will be provided.
